Trash Schedule Changes for Upcoming Holidays

Republic Services has notified the City of Portageville that Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day all fall on a Thursday, and there will be no trash collection on those days. Trash will be picked up on Friday following each holiday.
For Thanksgiving, trash will need to be set out on Thursday night (11/27/25) for pickup on Friday (11/28/25).
For Christmas, trash will need to be set out on Thursday night (12/25/25) for pickup on Friday (12/26/25).
For New Year's Day, trash will need to be set out on Thursday night (1/1/26) for pickup on Friday (1/2/26).
