The City of Portageville has been informed by the Postmaster that the City's mail delivery will remain as currently delivered, and changes will only be made on a case-by-case basis.
The City has received several inquiries as to mail delivery changes that are being implemented by the US Postal Service. After speaking with the Postmaster in Portageville, the City has been made aware of certain Postal Regulation changes that may effect your home delivery service. These include:
Public Notice: Sewer adjustments for swimming pools are only given one-time a year per account, and can only be used during the months of May, June or July usage (This means the adjustment will be reflected on June, July or August billing).
For the safety of all Portageville residents and to ensure that first responder assistance can be directed to the proper location quickly, the City reminds all residents that they are required to display their house numbers in a fashion that is easily visible from the street. Please help our Fire, Police and Ambulance personnel be able to find and respond to incidents faster.
