The City of Portageville has seen a troubling recent spike in the number of Covid-19 cases in and around our community. The City is working with County and State officials to monitor the situation and develop responses to combat this situation.
On Monday, July 6, 2020 the Portageville Board of Alderman passed a new ordinance that established a new policy for picking up extra waste within the City of Portageville. For items other than residential trash pick-up, a sticker will now have to be purchased at City Hall. A price list has been established for items that are frequently requested for pick-up.

The City of Portageville is currently seeking applications for the position of School Resource Officer within the Portageville School District. Starting pay is $15.25 per hour, but is negotiable based on prior experience.
The City of Portageville is now accepting applications for Summer Help positions. Chosen applicants will work up to 30 hours a week at $9.45 per hour beginning June 1, 2020. Applications can be picked up at City Hall, 301 E Main Street, Portageville, Mo. or accessed online by clicking HERE. All applications should be labled "Summer Help" and turned into City Hall at the above-mentioned address no later than Friday, May 15, 2020 at 4:30 p.m.
